Encrypt text with a passphrase using AES-256-GCM in your browser. Nothing leaves your device. Runs entirely in your browser, nothing is stored.

How this works

AES-256-GCM via your browser's Web Crypto. The key is derived from your passphrase with PBKDF2-SHA-256 (310,000 iterations), with a random salt and IV each time. Output is one base64 bundle: version, salt, IV and ciphertext.

What we never see

Your text or passphrase. Nothing leaves this tab. If you lose the passphrase, nobody (including us) can recover the text.
